Frequently Asked Questions
Having a consultation session would be the best way to assess your needs and help me to ascertain the right treatment for you.
A typical Psychotherapy session is 50 minutes; Hypnotherapy 1½ to 2 hours; Reiki & Theta Healing is 60 minutes.
A definite answer cannot be given as some people respond to therapy more quickly than others. The progress will depend on you, the type of therapy, the complexity, deep-rootedness and the severity of the problem. The number of sessions needed for each client varies, but in an initial consultation I will be able to make an estimate.
I work from 8am to 8pm on weekdays. Saturdays from 10am until 5 pm.
I am registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work within their Code of Ethics and standards of professional practice and receive continuing professional development.
I believe everyone deserves to be helped and so my door is open to all regardless of the type of problem, social and ethnic background, sexual preferences, or religion.
Hypnotherapy and Theta Healing often produce instantaneous results. Psychotherapy may take longer to produce noticeable results, especially if used alone. Any difficulties experienced in the therapy sessions can be overcome by careful attention paid to you as my client.
Yes I do and I have a lot of successful experience in treating children from the age of 11 years old with Hypnotherapy, Theta Healing and Reiki Healing. Below this age, I would need to assess the degree of understanding and compliance of the child, with the full consent of the parent or guardian. I believe that psychotherapy for children and adolescents would best be provided by a clinical child psychologist.
All discussions during treatment sessions are treated in the strictest confidence.
However, if in my professional judgment you become a serious risk to yourself or to others, I reserve the right to confer with your GP or other professionals in your best interests. However I would only do so after making every effort to discuss this with you first.
