Eating Disorders Treatment

Eating disorders and bulimia treatment in London SW3

Eating disorders can affect people of any age. You may have an eating disorder if you focus excessively on your weight and shape or make unhealthy choices about food that have damaging results to your health.

I have had great success with clients who come to me after spending years of unsuccessful treatmeant elsewhere. I have been successful in treating eating disorders - anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, binge eating, anorexia athletica, compulsive eating, night eating, orthorexia nervosa (orthoexia).

What are the symptoms of eating disorders?

Eating disorders are often associated with low self-esteem, anxiety, guilt, depression, alcohol abuse and self-harming.

You are likely to suffer with:

Anorexia nervosa if you try to keep your weight as low as possible by starving and exercising excessively. Do you believe yourself to be fat when others say you are too thin? Do you miss meals?
Bulimia if you control your weight by severely restricting the amount of food you eat followed by bouts of binge eating and food purging by making yourself sick or by using laxatives.
Binge eating if you feel compelled to overeat. Would you say that food dominates your life?
If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, you are highly likely to have an eating disorder.

Treatment for eating disorders

The physical effects of an eating disorder can cause permanent damage to your body and even be fatal. If it is not treated it can have a negative impact on someone’s job or schoolwork, and can disrupt relationships with family members and friends.

In treating eating disorders I tailor my therapy to suit the individual needs of each client. My unique approach of combining psychotherapy, hypnotherapy and cognitive restructuring (negative subconscious programmes changes) has been used to identify and change the root causes for all types of eating disorders.

Testimonials

"I highly recommend Natalia. Before seeing Natalia I suffered 3 years of eating disorders. Natalia helped me to get control over my over-eating and obsessive binging nightmare. She stopped the vicious cycle and I will be forever grateful."

"Before I came to see Natalia I had 6 years of CBT treatment suggested by my GP. I was hopeless and was doubtful wether anyone could help me. I was having bulimia episodes a few times a day.

After our first session the episodes reduced to once a week. As a result of the treatment with Natalia I am now leading a normal life without bulimia. My relationships improved and I know that I am a better mother too. I am calmer, more outgoing, I don't count calories and am not afraid of food.

I have suffered with this condition all adult life. Now I am happy and free. If you suffer with an eating disorder I would highly recommend you to see Natalia."
